I noticed that my webcam wasn’t working and I thought maybe it had some driver missing.
<span style="color:#323232;">(base) bob@bob:~
</span><span style="color:#323232;">$ lsusb
</span><span style="color:#323232;">Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0c45:6363 Microdia USB 2.0 Camera
</span>
so I created a probe using linux-hardware.org
app image and it found that I had this hardware component that wasn’t working. linux-hardware.org/?id=usb:0c45-6363 and it also has this in the website https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/c4750690-a256-4a51-aa2b-89ac04aa9243.png
Now, I searched for this exact keyword and found this driver lying around a little known guy’s repository called linux
.
github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/…/uvc_driver.c
Now, I don’t know how to install it. So, how do I install this? https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/f3f59ed2-a5ed-4a41-98c5-205b7640ded2.png
