I’m no expert, but since there are no other responses and I’ve had my fair share of problems to solve, maybe check: Is Secure Boot disabled in your BIOS? Does your image have the right permissions? Give it chmod 777 and see if it boots. I think you said you re-installed your host OS. Try installing an older version to see if it will boot your image.
