you found that on VHS on a shelf and had to watch it because of the AirBnB’s crappy internet connection, didn’t you? or worse… you had to read the actual book Sophie’s Choice you found on the bookshelf…

Believe it or not, the bookshelf here is surprising well-stocked and curated. Everything from John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, David Baldacci, both the complete Harry Potter series and the Twilight series, the complete Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, etc.

Not all my kind of thing (in fact, out of those, I only really car about Picoult and Douglas Adams) but unlike the internet, they put some thought into it.

yeah, you mentioned that before, which is why i didn’t think it was too far off to speculate that Sophie’s Choice might be found there.

And i was also musing how it’s sort of charming that i know where you are and what you’re doing and that it’s not at all creepy, lol. I hope things are going well for you in MN.

if it makes you feel better, i’m standing in a Home Depot in Orlando, selling appliances :)

I’m afraid they are not going well yet. We’re on the way to a diagnosis, but we haven’t gotten there. A couple of good things have happened, but it’s overall not good or bad news yet so far. But thank you anyway.
