Hi. Is there a tool to see fastest growing Lemmy communities? It’s easy to see the big communities, but it would be helpful to see fast growing communities to join in with community building for things you may have an interest in. is there anything that currently does this?
I keep see people complaining about not being able to find active communities that match their interests. So I’ve added a new feature to www.search-lemmy.com that allows you to search posts for a particular topic and then it tells you which communities have the most posts matching your search query....
Would be cool if we can upload short videos to a peertube instance and embed them into posts rather than relying on reddit, YT, or Vimeo....

Hi, I’m relatively new here. Like probably a lot of people, I appended the word “reddit” to most of my searches to get discussions around my interests/news or to find “curated” things. I noticed that it does not work as great with “Lemmy” for example, as the user base is more spread out and smaller in general....
Testing please ignore… trying to see how it looks on mobile....
Jami is p2p, it just cuts the middleman. Is it bad concept? I haven’t had the chance to test Jami or Signal, no adoption from my contacts. But, as from a federation and anti centralized services, Jami should be the better alternative, right?
The 2 frontends are...
Obviously Lemmy, Mastodon, Pixelfed, etc. are federated decentralized equivalent to their centralized counterparts, but what is the counterpart in the fediverse to TikTok? It is a dominant app for millions of people, and as far as I can tell the closest thing is Peertube, but isn’t that more of a YouTube equivalent? Does it...
That is all.

I noticed when I sort by new, some of the posts are in the future. Is that just an issue with .world (my home instance) or something broader?
A couple days ago I updated search-lemmy.com to 0.4.0....
Not asking for illegal activity stuff, but for pentesting/CTFs/red teaming kind of activities.
In some of the music communities I’m in the content creators are already telling their userbase to go follow them on threads. They’re all talking about some kind of beef between Elon and Mark and the possibility of a boxing match… Mark was right to call the people he’s leaching off of fucking idiots.

Lemmy instance admins, please feel free to use it if you want. That’s a transparent PNG, here’s the PSD file. Feel free to edit to your liking, no credit needed (but it’s appreciated if you want)....
It’d be worthwhile :)
I recently migrated my instance to another host which I freaked up and spent 6 hours fixing. I want to know if federation is working properly.
