NGL, this is the fourth pic posted in the past couple days of a hot Ukrainian soldier with a cat in tow. Not complaining. The world could use more of this sort of propaganda. 😍🤘🏼
Where are you getting these cat pics? I’d like to post some as well. Russian empathizers are losing their shit over pictures of cats and I’m laughing my ass off about that.
I do find it odd, too. Like, so many things feel off in the photo. Not only the hair and the blur, but the cat is literally posing for the camera, as well as the soldier whom, by the way, looks stunning in their uniform and make-up. I’m not declaring it is AI generated, but I don’t think it’s a “baseless” proposition.
Anyway, peace for Ukraine and Russia can’t come fast enough.
I remember seeing other similar pictures. There’s really no need to generate it. There’s tons of cats around the battlefield since Russia invaded, and there’s tons of soldiers, many of them attractive women. It’s only a matter of time until a cute cat climbs onto one of the attractive women, and of course that image will be spread around. It could be generated, but there’s really no need.
E-girls in uniform have been used to promote the IDF, the US armed forces and now Ukraine’s military. I haven’t seen rhe Russians do it but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. This is a propaganda tactic. I’m sure OP just thought the cat was cute but it is important to know propaganda when you see it.
I don’t think you’re being fair. The person you’re replying to obviously believes that this is being posted to promote the Ukranian military and would react the same to a photo they believe is promoting American police forces. The sweeping statements are the words you’ve put in their mouth. The least we could do is meet their argument on its own terms.
I do find this photo unsettling for basically the same reason you do, but don’t you think there’s an important distinction to be made between promoting an agressor and promoting a defender?
I don’t think banning this material is necessary. But let’s not pretend this isn’t obvious war propaganda.
This is at least the third pic of a cat with a good looking woman in (Ukrainian) military uniform I’ve seen in the past few days.
Had this been any other countries uniform I feel like people would have been more sceptical.
Or the hind legs are directly behind the fore legs? So the paws are right next to each other? If it is Photoshop, it is a very phenomenal Photoshop, all the bloom around the fur is really realistic. And how hard would it be to just use a real cat? They aren’t hard to come by.
The cat couldn’t possibly be standing on her shoulder like that. The legs would be suspended in space behind her somehow. And it’s clearly not sitting.
It’s not even a decent photoshop. I don’t care about the bloom around the fur. I care about the ridiculous impossible physics.
Yes, using animals to manipulate people in any way is propaganda and we should attempt to avoid it. Propaganda to make war more acceptable is one of the worst types, regardless of the symbols on their uniform.
CAT, Cat Anti Tank. Disables armored fighting vehicles by missiling up to the vehicle, climbing on top and driving through the hatches to scratchs the hell out of the on board crew. Dont ask how the CAT, gets through closed hatches, practical experience just shows they do.
When asked about the hatches matter, the CAT complained about:
questioners lack of understanding importance of operational security around classified war technology.
where is their food, they don’t disable couple enemy tanks per day for free.
Benefit of CAT over other AT weaponry is they leave the vehicle in good technical condition to be captured. Minus gory remains of the previous crew inside.
