You might be misunderstanding the error code, it is very similarly to “the middle of the food bowl is emty, even if the edges are not”, “no soft food found” (can happen even if hard food is available, and soft food has been provided earlier in the day), “wrong type of food” and " wants the human’s food" (here there is a very common bug that keeps them in a loop, even when they don’t want the human’s food"
