As the title said, I’ going through the feed and new posts are adding pushing what I read down, which is annoying, is there a way to stop this?

First off, huge props. Lemmy seems to really nail the potential that early Reddit had, and having found some niche communities it seems like it actually won’t be impossible to build critical mass as a serious replacement. One feature im missing is a way to hide individual posts. I don’t want to block the user or the...
If Reddit were to revert it’s changes to 3rd party apps would you stay on Lemmy or move back to Reddit?

I hate the damage that Apple seems to have done in this regard. I also hate it when apps hide features because “they’re for power users and regular users won’t understand them”....
I’m really enjoying lemmy. I think we’ve got some growing pains in UI/UX and we’re missing some key features (like community migration and actual redundancy). But how are we going to collectively pay for this? I saw an (unverified) post that Reddit received 400M dollars from ads last year. Lemmy isn’t going to be free....
Hi! Brand new Lemmy user here!...
I like lemmings but it might be a bit derogatory. Even with that I still think it’s better than ‘redditors’, which always sounded/looked goofy to me....
I just don’t get how Lemmy is going to act as a proper replacement for Reddit....
I’m currently on sh.itjust.works, but wondering if I should also apply for a Beehaw user, and whether that comes with any benefits over just using my current user.
I’ve noticed in the explosion that we are getting duplicate communities in multiple instances. This is ultimately gonna hinder community growth as eventually communities like ‘cats’ will exist in hundreds of places all with their own micro groups, and some users will end up subscribing to duplicates in their list....
Apologies if this has already been asked, I’m very new here and still learning everything....
See title. I would create a community but I...
For example, I’m on Lemmy.sdf.org and I joined the [email protected] community. But there are many missing articles and comments. If I browse directly on Lemmy.ml for the same article there ~90% of comments are missing....
I try searching keywords and nothing comes up. I’m using Jerboa for Lenny.
Hi, I’m learing python and I was thinking about createing Lemmy bot.
Yes, I’m certain I could final answers to all these questions via research, but I’m coming here as part of the Reddit diaspora. My guess is that there’s a benefit to others like me to have this discussion....
Excuse my ignorance im just curious.
The Lemmy Frontpage gets cluttered really fast. Is there any way to get a better overview? Maybe a compact view without pictures. Something ike old.reddit or Hackernews....
