Are you aware that you simply don’t have to use anything from that instance?

That’s the beauty of Lemmy, nothing here is centralized. Simply block that instance and don’t interact with anything from them.

If you miss some of their communities you can create your own equivalents and try to encourage people to join yours instead of theirs.
