Seems like Xiaomi is heavily clamping down on bootloader unlocking in China. Global versions also have a new restriction: no updates without locked bootloader.

My first one was a Samsung Galaxy S1 that I got in 2013 and it was a great little device that was easy to open up and repair. It had only 512MB of RAM but that was plenty for basic phone needs, web browsing and running some Android apps like AnkiDroid at the time.

tl;dr- s23 ultra with snapdragon 8 gen 2 performed much better under heavy load than the 3nm a17 pro on iphone 15 pm...
