Motorola is super bad with updates. Get a pixel, samsung or any other OEM which is reliable and is known to provide timely updates. Thanks for the FYI, it should save others.

Thanks. I’m pretty happy with this Moto. I don’t know of anything comparable in the same price range or lower. I’m a Linux dev but not much of a phone user, and basically nudged upwards to this phone starting from cheaper models. I don’t use any apps except a few from f-droid, so maybe the lack of updates won’t catch up with me. We’ll see how it goes.
