I just mentioned this in a comment, but thought it might be helpful for a larger audience. I’m not affiliated with these people, but I would really really like a smaller Android phone. They also seem motivated to try and make something happen.
Android still doesn’t handle USB audio very well. USB DAC dongles have their own volume settings, however Android doesn’t ever change this. This means that if a dongle has a preset volume level that is relatively low, android can never go above this....
It’s cheap and it’s the only one of the G family that supports Boost Mobile (don’t know why the other ones don’t). It would be for a family member who may need to replace an Android 8 phone. For stupid reason I have a couple of prepaid Boost cards, so being able to use them is a plus, but the phone’s low up front price...
