I‘m sorry but this is not correct. People used to live in one worker households and got by. The housing prices (only thing I could find) in the US has tripled since the sixties which is an increase of 7% pa.
As someone with a special interest in psychology I would say that being faced with inequality compared to our parents, we‘re definitely off to a bad start.
Our outlook on the future is fundamentally worse. The planet is fucked, most of us will never own a house, stuff is getting more and more expensive while we‘re being exploited at work. All while we‘re told the world is so much better than it was.
Those of us with the awareness to recognize that we are not seeing an improvwment are the ones that are worse off. I reckon it is another reason why social media and other distractions are rising and stress diseases are insanely high.
TL;DR: You can be factually better off while being constantly reminded how bad the situation really is and feel worse. We’re in a psychological crisis.
The woman in the meme is supposed to say something unreasonable, and that makes sense because she’s clearly emotional and angry. Her correctly solving the puzzle doesn’t align with her picture.
Then we’ve replaced the cat with Skeltor… for what? I guess him being wrong makes more sense than the cat because the cat is usually correct, or just minding their own business, but why not use the meme with the monkey looking sideways? Or why don’t we use the Winnie the Pooh meme?
It just seems like someone slapped together three images they saw on Reddit without really trying to make sense. And for some reason people up vote this. Idk.
Maybe to you. If this is the kind of content that you like and gets upvotes in this community then y’all have fun with it; it’s not harming anyone. I just commented after seeing it on All because I only just noticed the trend of memes being used differently than they used to be.
Both are the real speedy clean & squishy relaxed deal. Enough energy to clean a lot, but take your time at some spots, because stoned focus removes the sturdiest of stains.
My “trick” is to put it off until I can’t bear the mess anymore and then it actually feels like I’m getting something done and I’m doing it because I want to as opposed to it being a pointless chore
