If you click the link and follow it through 3 redirects you'll get to Stamets post.
Basically risa is listed as having "no rules" but the community admin is/was trying to moderate things to keep it "fun".
Stamets and others were upset at the contradiction and through there own posts generated alot of noise to get it resolved the startrek.website admin got sick of the drama.
To be honest the site admin should require mods to accurately explain their actions "Doesn't inspire Jahamora" isn't a great reason and reading stamets examples I think you could build rules fairly easily.
But I won't be going to Ten Forward, reading the post was exhausting.
I’d have thought it was less hassle to use the jellyfin OCI container in either docker or podman. podman will even generate the systemd service file for you
Docker/podman are not virtualisation, they are containerisation. The system groups all the processes into a namespace and executes them on the same host/kernel as the base system. There is no overhead of virtualisation as its not creating virtual hardware or running a whole OS. Its more like the flatpak you’re already running than a vm
Docker and Flatpack are both containerization technologies and work in similar ways under the hood. Docker is more geared towards running headless services that other systems access while flatpack is more geared towards desktop gui applications that are interacted with from the same system they run on.
There’s indeed a cake called Napoleon, which is not invented by Napoleon. I know at least in Russia and China, this cake is known by the name of Napoleon cake.
Legend has it that the name originates from the Napoleonic war with Russia and since people have to throw the cake to the ground (table?) to break the sugar layer on top of it and thus the Russian people call it Napoleon so that they are breaking Napoleon.
I see no mention of this etymology elsewhere, so take this with a grain of salt.
That’s a good point. I only have it once a year, because there’s one specific Italian restaurant I go to that gives you a free meal on your birthday and includes spumoni for dessert. I’ve never actually noticed it available anywhere else.
No, although I wish we still had an OSF around here because I miss the mulligatawny soup. The place with the spumoni is a local chain called Provino’s.
