@MicroWave IKR! 😎I've also subscribed to all of my favorite lemmy/kbin subs and mags too on here, but my feed is a mess now haha 😅 . I think the coming mastodon updates will provide better interfaces for cross service usage. Can't wait for that feature-set to roll out 🤞!
This is my account on this instance. Jerboa search doesn’t give me a ton of communities when I’m logged into my main lemmy.zip account. And I haven’t figured out a way to load a community manually on mobile that allows me to subscribe with my .zip account, so I add subscriptions infrequently on my laptop.
90% are probably lurkers. But there is a good argument to be made that a lot of the recent growth is from the 9% of contributors on Reddit, and some of the 1% also.
Currently I suspect that much less than 90% here are lurkers, but that should balance out over time just due to how social communities work.
There is probably not an easy way to do that on the spot. Do you think the artist traces out the dimensions and then makes the piece at home and brings it back?
No they just pour in the mortar and then put the pieces in. The ones that do pictures like a cat or a bird or something premake the picture part and then fill in the pattern surrounding the picture afterwards. This particular french artist does it anonymously in the middle of the night.
Here in the UK people spray paint giant dicks on the floor around the potholes. A slightly alternative way of annoying the council into taking action.
“Government” is a pretty broad term. It encompasses both elected or ruling leaders that implement policy (politics), as well as the administrative beaurocracy that implements whatever policy is enacted day to day. It’s pretty typical for the beaurocracy to continue functioning under whatever mandate they have and even to make their own descisions if the mandate gives them that latitude, even if the leadership part of the government is being changed or otherwise non-functional.
