Well this got disappointingly stupid in no time at all. What I see here is something roughly like the same proportion of idiots as one would typically expect on Reddit.
Maybe it’s not just reddit. Maybe people in general are fucking stupid trolls when posting anonymously on the Internet. I’ve this kind of reply a lot as Lemmy gains users. I’m convinced it’s not a reddit thing. People suck.
100 percent agree. The world is disappointingly full of morons and idiots.
There’s a Bertrand Russell quote to the effect that “the trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and arrogant, while the intelligent are full of doubt.”
No doubt I’ve botched the actual quote, but the point remains regardless.
I do like this as it atmosphere is very strange indeed and the whole film is weird and disturbing. According to IMDb trivia this wasn’t deliberate:
Director Harry Bromley Davenport stated in an interview on the DVD release that he looks back on the film with embarrassment, saying that the bizarre atmosphere of the film was completely unintentional and that there is no deeper, symbolic meaning to the strange, random events that happen, because he and his co-writers were very high on drugs while writing the script and would often throw in whatever random ideas popped into their heads or thought would be neat, such as the panther scene and the toy soldier coming to life. Davenport has also said that despite being unhappy with the film, he is somewhat proud of its reputation for being a disgusting and bleak horror movie.
It might be the leftovers of a fever coat, you sometimes see kittens with them when the mother has been unwell during pregnancy. Especially foster kittens.
Interesting! I think it’s mostly lighting, though. I tried to brighten the picture so you could see him better. I didn’t notice the white until I zoomed in.
I never managed to make eww with transparent corners. I mostly used KDE for this but noticed that in hyprland random user dotfiles like Windows 11 exact copy with more to it had also kind-of transparency issues.
Gaming on Linux is definitely there. Most people saying otherwise simply haven’t tried it recently enough. For the last year or so, the experience has been largely flawless. There’s the occasional game that needs a flip to Proton Experimental or a launch option; even more occasionally the need for special Proton until Valve’s version catches up. But the work that has been done to get Linux gaming at parity with Windows definitely shows.
Frankly, on AMD, the experience is better than Windows. Less overhead and never have to worry about video drivers since they’re in the kernel. I’ll happily switch to Experimental occasionally as a tradeoff.
