Bought mine in the 90’s from a high school friend. Got the car adapter and it was a lifesaver for the family road trips which we did a lot of back then. I kept it even though it stopped working years ago. Then learned how to recap it during the pandemic and got hooked to console modding. That was a slippery slope. I’ve since bought, fixed, and customized 6 game gears with custom-painted shells and installed the different variations of screen and power upgrades. Now I find broken consoles and fix/upgrade them as a hobby. There’s something so satisfying about bringing life back to gaming hardware that people have given up on.
It’s a pretty lame situation. I used to have a big collection, but I sold 95% at the beginning of the pandemic when I realized I just don’t play them. I’m more likely to emulate, even stuff that I own. Game collecting is different from game playing and it’s almost like a separate hobby with a lot of overlap. It’s a bummer for people who want to have a cool thing and can’t have it.
Not sure what the installation was for, but the image shows side by side satellite images of the building and the more recent photo has no turrets. This implies that the turrets have been salvaged for use in the “special military operation”.
oh! that’s a good idea… I guess I just figured it would be awkward to clutter up a single community with multiple languages? maybe that’s the whole point though. 🤷
This is almost certainly because of the social media trend to destroy public bathrooms. Not “teehee I pulled out a lot of toilet paper” but “I body slammed the air dryer until it broke off.”
If probably need it to be a drinking game it something, however - this does not constitute a functional working environment, but it would be pretty entertaining
