The orange one was from a family friend whose cat had kittens, the tabby one was from a local rescue!

They remind me of a pair of cats my mother had who grew up together and unfortunately came up missing a couple of months ago. Seeing your beautiful babies made me hope they're safe wherever they are. This was my cat’s favorite spot. Unfortunately, my bathroom sink had a flip-up lever faucet and no overflow drain, so one night I woke up to find my carpet completely soaked with water. He had gotten up and inadvertently (maybe) flipped up the lever while also pushing the drain plug down into place.

TBF he had woken me up by jumping up on my chest and batting me in the face, so clearly he sensed that something was wrong with all that water.
