Come onnnnnnn bring back the Zune

Would definitely be curious to see what a 2023 phone version of a Zune would look like.

OK, maybe I’m not as interested in it anymore haha!

RoyalEngineering ,

No just Zune maybe with a little Bluetooth.

Bring back the brown color and they got a sale from me.

I wanna disconnect from my phone sometimes and just Zune out.

HurlingDurling ,

But how will they track you?

Seriously, that’s (I suspect) the reason why Apple killed the iPod (the og one)

autotldr Bot , to technology in Microsoft is holding a 'special event' on September 21st

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Summer is drawing to a close, which means the busy fall season of tech events is almost upon us.

Microsoft has marked its territory by sending out save-the-date invites to a “special event” in New York City on September 21st, but the company hasn’t provided any details on what to expect as yet.

This could very well be Microsoft’s major fall hardware event, during which the company typically reveals its latest Surface devices and other gear.

If so, that would mean Microsoft is moving back to its old late September slot after switching to an October date last year.

In any case, given the company’s focus over the past year or so, it’s likely to talk quite a bit about its various AI endeavors during this showcase.

Apple usually shows off its latest slate of iPhones (which may or may not have USB-C charging ports this year) in early- to mid-September, but it hasn’t confirmed a date yet.

@thingsiplay@kbin.social avatar

@realcaseyrollins Are all maps remasters of the original MW2 maps? This game really doesn't feel like a new game, but was originally planned as a Modern Warfare 2 Remake extension to add original maps. That they will include new maps in the future is another good reason to believe that. This shouldn't be a new standalone game for full price.

Not seeing anyone mention Private Internet Access. Are they not good anymore?

MW2 had some awesome maps, I still play modded versions of a few of them on VR. Zombies mode sounds interesting too:

You’ll be able to team up with other squads for the first time and try to survive “massive hordes” of zombies.

I’m tempted to get one to use as a “little brother controller”. And just for the absurdity. I’ll wait for some more actual reviews to trickle in first.

Blackmist , to gaming in 8BitDo stuffed 16 buttons into its hand-crampingly small Micro controller

Yeah, no thanks.

I couldn’t even use the DSi for long periods. It’s just too thin to hold comfortably and you end up doing some sort of weird claw grip just to hold it.

Ended up playing mostly stylus based games like Professor Layton and Ghost Trick. I even played Zelda with the stylus.

But why? Nintendo controllers are already pretty small.

Ok I’ll limit myself to saying something horrible to every other month. Then I can keep getting away with it forever

That sounds like a marketing bullet point; -Xbox - comes with 1x monthly use of the gamer word

half the length of an original NES controller

God damn. If you haven’t held an original NES controller since back in the day when you were a kid, lemme tell you: They are already fucking small. This thing would definitely suck to use unless you are under the age of 10 or have dwarfism (or possibly Donald Trump).

sub_ , to gaming in 8BitDo stuffed 16 buttons into its hand-crampingly small Micro controller

Yeah, I could see that for kids or just like in that screenshot, as macro pad.

Even the SN30 Pro was bit too small and uncomfortable for me, and I don’t even have big hands. The 8BitDo Pro 2 on the other hand, is a solid and affordable controller.

I like what 8BitDo has been doing over the years, good quality products under affordable price range, and sometimes quirky / out of the box designs. I do wish they’d make more PS5 compatible controllers, because PS5 is definitely lacking affordable 3rd party controllers.

spriteblood , to gaming in 8BitDo stuffed 16 buttons into its hand-crampingly small Micro controller

Their pic of somebody using it for graphic design is something I hadn't even considered. I've seen other artists use JoyCons but these would connect to PC a lot more seamlessly.

Far more profitable to screw honest players by being soft on cheaters or people engaging in harassment and the like.
