The poor devs aren’t even saying “no”. They’re just saying “what the hell is going on and why didn’t you ask us about this first”.
Pretty poor form for the OP to use a “KDE Developer”-badged account when they didn’t have any backing from the KDE developers to make the post. Makes it look a lot more official than it actually is.
Love my Framework. It's from the first round of releases (11th gen) and I'll probably upgrade to AMD, a larger battery, and a matte display early next year. It's nice to be a able to actually upgrade my laptop or fix it when it breaks.
Tbh a company that would sponsor a prize for this already has so much goodwill from me. That it comes from a hardware company that is clearly sending the message of “use Linux on our laptops” by doing this is cherry on top.
My cynical side tells me this won’t last but I’m hoping framework does actually turn out to be what it purports to being long term.
