She and most of the Road to Recovery volunteers have continued to drive Palestinians from the West Bank to hospitals in Israel for cancer treatment, organ transplants and kidney dialysis.
Yael is also desperately concerned for two Road to Recovery volunteers, Oded Lifschitz and Chaim Peri, who are still being held hostage by Hamas.
Since 7 October, some Road to Recovery’s volunteers have dropped out of driving altogether or decided to focus on taking medicines to displaced Israelis instead, while the war lasts.

Brazil says that it is deploying troops along its border with Venezuela after the Venezuelan government announced plans to incorporate an area controlled by Guyana into its territory.
Venezuela renewed its land claims after offshore oil and gas reserves were discovered a few years ago.
While Guyana has its troops on high alert, the Brazilian army has said that it is moving more soldiers to the border city of Boa Vista, the capital of Roraima state, as well as bringing in more armed vehicles.
According to AFP news agency, Brazil’s army has said it is reinforcing its presence in the region as part of efforts to “guarantee the inviolability of the territory”.
A Guyanese army helicopter with seven people on board was reported missing near the Venezuelan border on Wednesday.

The FBI has arrested a man in Arizona over a religiously motivated terror attack on a remote Australian property last year that left six dead.
Mr Day was arrested by FBI agents in Heber Overgaard, north-east of Phoenix, on Friday and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted on both charges, according to prosecutors.

Not true, it’s up to the AME to clear you as safe to fly in view of seeking treatment for depression and if you seek treatment for depression while holding a pilots license it grounds you until the AME reclears you, much like any other life threatening health conditions.
The fact that they treat pretty much any treatment of mental illness, no matter how long ago, as “probably actively suicidal and a danger to themself and others” is what I take issue with. And it’s a tedious, time consuming, expensive process to try to get cleared. To the point where several flight instructors, and the chief pilot, have told me I should’ve just lied on the federal form. Because that’s what everyone else does. But whatever, I have cheaper hobbies.
