Hosted Fediverse for Family?
Do you host any Fediverse instances for family (Mastodon, etc)? Curious if you get your family to use it and what headaches when linking to other instances....

How do i log in to a new Lemmy instance
I’ve set one up using the docker instructions but i can’t log in to it… When i try to signup or login the green button just swirls constantly…
Lemmy; how do you do??
I’ve been working with the two suggested LemmyNet installation methods; Docker and Ansible. Neither are too wild of a setup, but they aren’t plug and play docker-compose-like, either....

How many of you are using Bookwyrm (federated alternative to Goodreads)?
I recently discovered Bookwyrm and am really liking it. It’s not quite as full-featured as The Storygraph or Goodreads but it covers all of the most important functionalities and it’s federated which I appreciate. Something that it is missing Vs either The Storygraph or Goodreads at the moment is volume of reviews (ie....
Bumblebee on a thistle
Since this seems to be the first post on Pics (I didn’t create the community, but there’s nobody here yet), I thought a bee would be quite a good first choice - feels like it fits the fediverse model quite well. Maybe not, who knows?...

What do you think of r/books silence on the API changes?
Unlike many other large subreddits r/books has not made any statements about the API changes. I did try and post something about it but it ended up getting deleted. At 22.1 million users this would be a pretty significant addition to the protest....
Do you like momoa?
Is this a fine place to talk about table top RPGs?
Hello! I hope I am not off topic, this is literally my first day here (ok, maybe I should wait and know the community a bit better but I 'll try to be slightly bolder…if it’s not ok just let me know). I understand that by choice there are no super focused communities to avoid an excessive fragmentation. So I wonder: is this...
How is Lemmy supposed to replace Reddit?
I just don’t get how Lemmy is going to act as a proper replacement for Reddit....
Lemmyers who opt for usernames with numbers even when the number-less version is available for free, what motivates your choice?
The Satanic Temple (TST)
Hi all. After searching in the fediverse and not finding any TST centric communities, I’ve decided to try and create one. For the unaware, The Satanic Temple is a modern atheistic satanic religion that advocates for human rights. I’m not one to be great at content generating or anything, but if you’re interested, check it...
Do you hate raids?!
Hey all, if you notice any comments that clearly don’t belong here please hit the report button! In the next few days I will be checking in every few hours to ensure this community is in tip top shape....
