    On the other hand, given how over extended US finds itself now with its proxy war in Ukraine, the vassal regime in the south could find support lacking going forward. Given the hellish conditions people experience under this regime, it’s entirely possible that it could fall in not too distant future allowing for reunification.

    Absolutely, Japan created a huge ecological disaster here. Fun fact about the whole thing is that this type of reactor was known to be unsafe even back in the 70s, and one of the scientists from GE actually quit in protest over it abcnews.go.com/Blotter/…/story?id=13141287

    So, this isn’t even a problem with a danger of using nuclear power, but rather one with capitalists cutting corners while chasing profits.

    I remember there was one troll who kept arguing with me that China refusing to import radioactive fish was doing it as a political game as opposed to protecting people in China. That bullshit sure aged like milk.

    Only a child would come up with a hypothesis like this. An adult would understand that Ukrainian oligarchs keep their wealth in western banks, and they make money through the corrupt government they set up after the coup in 2014. If you think Ukrainian oligarchs care about Ukraine any more than US oligarchs care about the US then you must’ve been born yesterday.

    People are making good money off this war though, including in Ukraine. There have been lots of reports of grand scale embezzlement of the funds and resources being sent for the war.

    Yeah, NATO will now force all the European countries to up their military spending and do austerity. The oligarchs running the war industry are going to be swimming in cash while people are gonna starve. Now that they have a credible enemy to scare people with, it’s going to be an unlimited tap.

    Ukraine claims a lot of things, it’s called war propaganda. We won’t know what the actual losses are on each side until the war is over. It’s certainly absurd to take Ukrainian numbers uncritically. In fact, it doesn’t even match up with Ukraine having done multiple mobilizations now while Russia has only done one. If Russia was losing anywhere close to manpower Ukraine claims, then they would’ve had to do multiple mobilizations by now as well. Also, as many military experts have pointed out, this is primarily an artillery war and Russia has a huge artillery advantage over Ukraine. That’s where vast majority of casualties comes from.
