@ronsboy67 @bookstodon I read the whole series as a kid. It influenced my worldview a lot. As an adult, it started seeing obvious to me how civilisations grow, decay, and fall. These are usually followed by dark age and repeat as nauseum. This is true in western history and eastern Asian history. It's a cycle as natural as humans being born, aging and dying.
