I figure, it’s better than nothing. The force behind a good swing is stronger than one might think, too. Some folks would be completely useless if attacked, mind, but some will get some good hard whacks in because of adrenaline.

Yeah, but dingoes are classified as Vulnerable, which is one step above Endangered. They might not want to risk people hurting them when the goal is to get them to leave you alone or hold them off until help arrives.

Although isn’t it less to hurt them and more to deter them? You want them to leave you alone, not potentially injured badly to end up suffering or dead in the wild.

We saved pandas from extinction just because they’re ridiculously cute. Other animals aren’t faring as well, and the problem is most people who could do something to stop climate change look at the Earth and see profits.

IIRC, that’s part of why they’re pulling out of Florida. DeSantis made it law that they can’t change premiums based on climate change, so they’ve decided it makes more sense for them to pull out than risk huge payouts when they can’t change premiums.

I’m not surprised it’s so popular, but I’ll admit to being surprised it’s so popular in India and Brazil. Is Instagram really popular in those countries, or is it something else?

I couldn’t help but notice how the article didn’t even mention the studio exec who said the plan was to wait until writers stating losing their homes before negotiating.

If there’s class warfare happening, they fired first.
