If Musk really does this, instead of backtracking off it, he’ll really kill the site. He had never realized that the way he uses Twitter is NOT the way that everyone does. He can’t see past his own nose, and no one there will tell him no.

I reckon he’ll either latch onto the Apple and Google TOS as an excuse to backtrack when it finally gets through his thick skull that this is a terrible idea, or he’ll double down on it because no one tells him what to do.

And dumb shit Elon does with it has repercussions. Just look at Reddit deciding to charge ridiculous amounts for API use as a way to kill 3rd party apps not long after Twitter did it.

Although honestly, I just shared this because I cracked the entire fuck up at most of Elon’s followers being bots and inactive users and wanted other folks to point and laugh with me.

When you only read the headline and not the article:

The cost of tomatoes in India has soared by more than 400% in recent months due to crop failures following scorching heat waves and heavy rains, according to farmers and agriculture experts, though prices have moderated somewhat in August.

That is why it’s world news. Because it’s indicative of a much bigger issue. I’d say massive crop failures are world news. Which is why I posted it.
