Hey, y’all! Just another random, loudmouthed, opinionated, Southern-fried nerdy American living abroad.

I’m moving off kbin to lemmy, so I won’t be posting from here (unless kbin social gets it together).

Ever wake up and see something that makes you hate humanity before you’ve even gotten out of bed? Yeah, that was this for me.

The people in charge who can’t see beyond this quarter’s financial reports will be dead by then, so they don’t care.

Yeah, but that’s not going to be very easy to do on the train, or laying down in bed, and having to carry around a controller kills a lot of the portability, which would be the whole point of a Stream Deck for me. And if I’m going to play at home, I’ve already got a gaming PC.

I have a genetic disorder that causes my tendons and ligaments to be weak, so I get sprains and dislocations easily. I’ve sprained a finger pushing an elevator button before, and dislocated a knee standing up and taking a step. My hands are so stupid weak I couldn’t even get a Switch, I had to get a Switch Lite. I can’t use Xbox controllers because the D-pad and left stick being switched caused me to accidentally dislocate my thumb once.

The Steam Deck is just slightly too heavy for me to hold for long, because you carry some of the weight on your middle fingers when you’re holding it. When I was trying it, a middle finger joint started to go out of place.

The ergonomics of the Steam Deck were great; so I was so upset when I felt my finger starting to give. I had only played for about 10, 15 minutes before I started having problems, and I had to tape my finger after I got home from trying it.

I’m a rare case, I know, but usually new versions of electronics tend to be slimmer and lighter, so I’m hopeful.

I just hope they can bring the weight down in the next version. It’s a little too heavy for me to use, and I was so sad when I realized it.

It had positive reviews on release because they wouldn’t give console copies to reviewers, and professional reviewers tended to have the beefy gaming rigs that could play it well.

To be fair, he grew up in both the US and the UK. His mom is British, and he lived in the US until he was about 12, 13, then moved to the UK. Him having a very confused accent makes sense.

There, that’s the only time you’ll ever see me defending anything about that raging douche canoe.

A lot of the planned release dates got pushed back a year or two because of covid, so add a year to each date to get closer to when things are probably going to actually come out, I reckon.

I haven’t heard about any plans for PS5 Pro, but all that leaks have said what’s coming out is more like a Slim, since it’s going to be smaller, and not have a built-in disk drive. We’ll see, tho.

There were no signs or barriers, as the article mentioned, and it was a rainy night. This dude had no way of knowing or seeing something was wrong until it was too late.

Thing is, as the article points out, people had contacted Google trying to get this fixed.

There was more than one failure here. That’s why the family is suing more than one entity.

The bridge was broken years though, so Google should not have been using it for routes. The country is definitely at fault for not having signs up, but Google isn’t blameless in this.

The bridge broke down years ago. Google is absolutely also at fault for sending someone down it, along with whoever didn’t have warnings up. Multiple entities can be at fault here.

Did you read the article?

neither the destroyed bridge nor the road leading to it had any barriers or warning signs to alert drivers of the hazard.

It was also raining and at night, so he likely had no way to know the bridge was gone until it would have been too late to stop.
