I haven’t been homeless, but I’ve been desperately broke and unemployable. I lived on a limited income that didn’t stretch the entire month. All my dishes had broken and I couldn’t save enough to buy new ones cause I had to keep buying paper plates for my meals. My mother bought me dishes for xmas and it was one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received because it freed me to start saving a little bit each month.

It costs more to be poor than it does to be rich. It’s a never ending cycle. You can’t go to CostCo and bulk up on frozen foods if you have no electricity to keep them frozen.

If he wasn’t shooting “at” them, only firing into the air, I don’t understand how he killed someone. But, you know, shooting an AK-47 towards a bunch of other humans is a totally normal response to seeing people on your land, so I’m sure it’s just me misunderstanding. Not like he’s some racist, xenophobic, piece of shit. It can’t be that.

I lived in a nice place with direct sunlight late in the day and no AC (Bay Area, it’s pretty common here). During a particularly hot summer, I felt trapped late in the day and literally had to leave the house during the day because it was hotter than it was outside. I felt terribly trapped and I could fucking leave. Locking people in a hot room is cruel.
