I said it before and I'll say it again: scientific journals have hardly any relevance any more, except for academic careers.

AI is just speeding up this evolution. We urgently need to rethink scientific communication!

@JorisMeys @academicchatter We recently got what I think was our first LLM generated review of an article submission. It had some good points until it stated that the measure we used (a standard in the domain), wasn’t appropriate for the analysis. Which pretty much was like saying using a thermometer isn’t very appropriate to analyse changes in temperature.
You’re absolutely right. We really need something different that sets the incentives back on sharing good science.
