Asking my fellow @actuallyautistic friends:

Several months ago, I bought some headphones for about 70€. Sound quality is good, they're comfortable on/around the ears. I used to wear them in noisy surroundings.

Reading about ANC headphones here, I got curious if this could help me improve the conditions. So, I searched for suitable headphones and found out that mine actually are ANC 😆

Today, I tried the ANC at church and it was so.much.better.! But it feels a bit strange inside my ears.

I recently went on a headphone hunt. the conclusion was that the higher end sony wh-1000 range or the bose quiet comfort are the way to go if you have the money.

i didn't want to spend too much as i only use the headphones sometimes, so ended up with a pair of soundcore Q45's as they had 40% off at the time. they are comfortable, which is important for me, as i wear glasses and most headphones apply too much pressure on the arms.

for the ANC the more expensive ones will likely give you more isolation and also less hiss (although i think most anc results in some slight hiss if the headphones are only doing that and not also playing music or something).

if i had the money id probably go for the bose quiet comfort ultra, but they are 400% more expensive than my Q45's were. looking at online reviews (rtings.com) the bose and sony do very well, but not by as much as they cost competitively.
