My second book of this autumn's Rentrée Littéraire in French, and it's a powerful one. In "Triste Tigre", Neige Sinno writes about the sexual abuse she experienced as a child at the hand of her stepfather. Sinno found an original approach in dealing with her memories, a kind of writing style and tone that is both detached and personal.

Sunday reading: Geert Mak's "In Europe - Travels Through The 20th Century" (2004).

It was recommended to me and I'm really looking forward to reading it.
