This is a serious question:

How does a Jew hang out with nazis?

For real. I was raised atheist, and the state mostly murders us before puberty. There was an old writer by the name of Kurt Vonnegut who scared the tits off the republicans so they took out his people. I one of the only ones they let live. Maybe literally the only one.

Now, everyone I meet agrees with this plan. My only possible social contacts think it is right to murder my people as children to prevent us having a voice. And I understand it--Vonnegut's message was that you have a choice in whether or not to kill people. If, say, the republicans want to blow up the Middle East, Vonnegut says the young people should have the freedom to decline to participate. Disgusting! That kind of idea can't allowed to get out. Not in america's fake democracy.

But isolation is torture. The UN says so. I can't spend my life alone in a room. I need other humans, but none of them think I have a right to exist. So.

I can't mask. I was never allowed far enough into society to learn how. Without being able to pretend to be something I'm not, I really don't know how to have any social activity at all. How do I enjoy spending time with people who want to murder me? I'd watch movies with them, but nobody does that any more. Or screws, far as I can tell.

Any thoughts?

@Uair @actuallyautistic I had heard the Rollins Band cover on the soundtrack for the Crow first back in the day, but of course the original is more essential. Frankie Teardrop

Man, I feel awful. My ears are always ringing these days, from moderately loud to gonging to the point I'm functionally deaf. I wake up in night sweats, and have a racing heart any time I lay down. Lying prone feels like sprinting to me. My throat is so swollen I need to use muscles to keep it open, and my face and other parts are swole up to serious puffiness. Plus, my skin is covered with lesions where I picked pellets of yuck out.

I need a doctor.

@Uair @actuallyautistic I suspect your ailments are due to environmental concerns. May you get better soon.

In other news, I finally got my first ever communication from my mother. She admitted she takes direction from the state; they tell her what she is and isn't allowed to tell me. She also let me know that, with the additional information she knows about my situation, she'd kill herself. I suggested she come visit, we can make it a twofer.

They hit me twice today. My ears have been gonging to the point I'm functionally deaf, and my vision is all blurred.

Fun fun.

@Uair @actuallyautistic Sounds like it's probably best to break any contact with her

Study finds that believing neurodivergence is ‘natural’ is related to greater well being. Concludes that believing in nd as a reified category can be a good thing, even tho in similar situations it’s usually not

Or maybe it’s just knowing that others have experiences like ours that is protective! Understanding this as based on shared experience rather than a reified category works just fine @actuallyautistic

@26pglt @actuallyautistic knowing one is basically fucked for life kinda sucks though. No one gives a shit unless it's profitable, anyway
