In a response to questions by The Washington Post, a White House spokesperson said the president’s comments were based on news reports and claims by the Israeli government.

“The president based his comments about the alleged atrocities on the claims from Netanyahu’s spokesman and media reports from Israel, according to the White House.”

The Israeli army has said that it cannot confirm the claims, which were repeated on Wednesday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesperson Tal Heinrich.

But Israeli military officials have told a number of media outlets that women and children were “brutally butchered in an ISIS way of action”.

I’m not saying the 6 million number is wrong I’m just asking for evidence?

The point is to ask what sound like reasonable questions but in reality you’re just trying to sew uncertainty for others. Check WidowsFavoriteSon’s history, they’re not asking in good faith.

If they weren’t just stirring shit it’s easy to look up which side has killed more civilians. And this is how the data is collected:

Information about occupation and conflict-related casualties is regularly collected by OCHA field staff and entered into OCHA’s Protection of Civilians database, following review and verification. As a rule, for an incident to be entered into the database it needs to be validated by at least two independent and reliable sources. Exceptions to this rule include incidents resulting in Israeli injuries, where information is typically based on media reports.

And the fact that this line of questioning exactly mirrors holocaust denialism is gross. I know, har har, godwin’s law; but it’s really the same fucking thing. I would bet money that it’s not an accident.

Except they didn’t release it. They released one minute of footage. All I’m asking is that we let the journalists verify the other 42 minutes.

Individual pieces have been analyzed by 3rd parties like the fake phone call/audio recording. But overall no, we’re getting different parties takes on the evidence we’ve been presented but we’re not getting any additional evidence because it’s not safe on the ground to investigate.
