@mighty_orbot @ScienceAlert @actuallyautistic I was the often DM for a D&D group in the 90s. I can totally see it being a special interest. I pored over books. If a store put in on a shelf, I bought it. I refined character sheets on my computer. It was an amazing way to invest time and energy. But, it wasn't my favorite. That would be Greyhawk Wars. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2307/greyhawk-adventures-wars think Risk but with heroes and other complications. I never found anyone to play it with, so I would all sides it at home alone. Similar for Shadowrun and Warhammer.
