Seems like sideloading would be a different path and goal unless Apple is trying to retain control of that too. To me a lot of the point of users sideloading is to load whatever they want, not what the corporation that made the OS will allow.

Faulty software and people who don’t operate it properly, this is going to cause a lot of problems in the coming years. I read another article about faulty Fujitsu auditing software in the UK that led to 400 postmasters being falsely accused of theft.

Yeah I could see the appeal of breaking the anti-cheat code. But the actual cheaters find the cheats, often pay for them, install what could easily be malware, and take the risk of getting banned for using them. I don’t get the appeal.

Yeah normally, but in some circumstances on Linux an excessive amount of shader caches are downloaded. I tried Linux gaming on a ~50GB partition and quickly ran out of space because of all the shaders.
