I feel a bit stuck in my reading. The cosy mysteries and fantasies are becoming a bit boring. (Just read a few to many one after another) But my brain is unwilling to process harder SFF or litfic. Nothing on my tbr really appeals. Anyone have ideas for genres I could try? @bookstodonmy @boeken

I'd probably go for something comic. Jeeves and Wooster territory, or Discworld, or Scalzi's Redshirts.

Look what I'm about to start reading today! It was a gift from Mrs. Blueheart, a vintage, out-of-print book!

Who know the significance of this book?

If you read it, what did you think of it? (No spoilers please)

(What? You thought I only read dirty books? 😂)

I don't recall the plot, just that Steve's bionic eye was only a camera, and he couldn't see with it. Also that there was a small oxygen tank hidden in one of his legs, which came in handy.

I hit a bit of a slump in October and November, but I’m on the upswing… currently reading The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon.

I One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston. I don’t know what to say about this . It’s . It’s F/F & trans-friendly. It’s a weird cross between mystery & ghostly & time travel & a NY subway. I absolutely had to know how it ended because the plot is definitely unexpected. I struggled a little with the style/voice, but a great diversion during a hard week. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ @romancebooks

I read this. I remember the main character's mother looking for her long-lost gay brother, and various other bits. The science fiction elements were mushier than I'd have liked, but I liked it overall.
