Today I’ll give you a report of how we do reconnaissance surveys in the northern forested part of the island, in search for Early Modern and Modern Period remains (mostly Modern Period, access to the northern forests were very limited by law during the Kingdom). This is contracted archaeology, so I can’t give you the exact location, nor the nice report photographs that belong to the contractor, you’ll have to cope with my memo snapshots.

🪔 For French-speakers, here is the newly published "Archaeological Atlas of France". 📜 It was released by The French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap).

🪔 Such atlas has never been published before. Its documentation comes from tens of thousands of excavations and archaeological surveys carried out by Inrap in France over the last few decades during preventive archaeology operations.

well, it's never been published as a book, but the 「carte archéologique nationale」has always been available for consultation for free in the regional culture services (DRAC, SRA…) and in a lot of town offices. and there was the Carte Archéologique de la Gaule too.

So, the Journées du Patrimoine are this week-end ( https://journeesdupatrimoine.culture.gouv.fr/ ) and it's been a few years now that they are the "Journées Européennes du Patrimoine" so the hastag is . I checked and in English they are the European Heritage Days but the hashtag EHD2023 does not exist.
What's the hashtag ?
Or is it that despite the "European" in the name in fact only the French take part ? (I don't mind tooting in French) @archaeodons
