My Vision for our future society:

In 2035 we will see a major part or our society participating in and co-administering a growing synergetic federation of transparent and accessible digital democratic institutions that efficiently manage our society to a growing degree.

We will still be facing the same existential risks and problems on a global scale as today. Thankfully, by then, humanity will be much more prepared to face potential catastrophic complex problems like ecological collapse, dystopian autocracy or more fundamental and day-to-day issues like unlimited human desire.

A significant part of our societies’ infrastructure will be moving from unaccountable private, inhumane autocratic and unscientifically outdated habits toward an open cyberspace that considers and integrates modern insights and innovations in statebuilding and governance from the very foundation.

An open and accountable expert community that designs meta-governance frameworks for transparent and malleable online communication- and decision-making-platforms and mechanisms will lay the foundation of a universal-welfare-oriented organization of everyone that wants to partake. This framework then can be refined, implemented and developed by professional governance-actors and finally be used and evaluated by everyone, resulting in a cosmopolitical, democratic society.

Once stable, reflexive and strategic meta-governance and networked policy processes are established, reverting to traditional forms of hierarchical command and control governance will become unlikely and humanity can finally sustainably collaborate as a global community.

Our society is undergoing a dangerous development that is leading more and more in the direction of neo-feudalism. One of the main causes of this is the increasing concentration of wealth in the hands of a small elite. While more and more people are struggling at the lower end of the income scale, the super-rich have accumulated an ever-increasing share of total wealth in recent decades.
With their immense wealth, they have the ability to exert political influence and affect decisions that impact the lives of millions of people. In fact, many of the world's largest corporations and richest individuals have tremendous power in politics, actively influencing decision-making.
Another factor is the degree to which wealth is inherited rather than acquired through hard work and achievement. This creates a kind of "dynasty effect," in which wealth and power are retained within certain families for generations.
