US military says Gaza Strip pier project is completed, aid to soon flow as Israel-Hamas war rages on (apnews.com)

The U.S. military finished installing a floating pier for the Gaza Strip on Thursday, with officials poised to begin ferrying badly needed humanitarian aid into the enclave besieged over seven months of intense fighting in the Israel-Hamas war....

StaySquared ,

Don’t be surprised if the U.S. claims they were attacked by Hamas and the U.S. gets dragged into the war.

According to a 2019 UN report, there are over 3 billion barrels of oil estimated to be located beneath the occupied lands of Palestine, including off the coast. The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has identified potential and existing oil and natural gas reserves in the West Bank and Gaza, including 1,525 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in the occupied Palestinian territories. However, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) says that the Palestinian territories do not produce oil.

Regardless of who or what is navigating the public education system, it has gotten so bad at this current state that there’s absolutely no way I’m having the public education system manage my children 6-7-8 hours a day everyday. Public education in the United States has degraded significantly. My 5 year old is more advanced than 2nd graders (7-8 year olds) in language arts, mathematics, and science (more specifically astronomy). I don’t know what these kids in public education are pre-occupied with during those hours at school but it’s really sad, I mean that sincerely. These children have incredibly far more capacity to learn and public education is limiting them.

Yeah I know, this will get downvoted… some how many of you really put trust in government and government programs that have done nothing but fail us as a whole. It is what it is.

StaySquared ,

The way the users of that slur is used… yeah it does come off as a slur. As if, “cis-gender” (lol) is a degrading label. You can call me a cis-gender… you might get a laugh out of me but that’s about it.

StaySquared ,

I left FB back in 2020 among other social media accounts.

The problem with people, just in general… regardless of who they are, what they believe in, what part of the world they live in… they just read headlines and quickly post it for attention. They don’t take the time to read it, ingest it, question it, find other sources to provide more details or to counter the story. People don’t care to have a holistic view of an issue and that’s sad. At the same time I also blame the chitty producers of said news and the titles they decide to go with and how they love to bury the more important information 4-5-6-7 paragraphs or more down the page… you have to read all this bs fluff to finally get to the meat and potatoes of the issue.

I’m hoping that some how, some way, an unbiased AI is created just for internet search purposes, where it can gather all the data, analyze it, then present its findings into a summary with all the sources listed.

I’m only buying Toyota because it didn’t get sucked into the stupid EV craze. They have common sense. The U.S. doesn’t even have the electrical grid to currently manage many parts of the U.S., especially California. How tf are we going to introduce a product that will require electricity, straining the electrical grid further beyond its capacity? It’s fkin nonsense.

Not to mention… the number of EVs (Teslas) that were having battery failures during the Winter in the midwest. And this last Winter was mild.

StaySquared , (edited )

Literally google, “tesla stranded in winter”. Urineidiot.

edit: lol and I just learned not only that Teslas were having battery issues but even the charging stations were having issues. Good grief. Imagine being stranded in the middle of nowhere… but hilariously, stranded in front a fkin charging station lmao dead.png

StaySquared ,

Cool… I’ll buy an EV when both EV and electrical grid issues have been resolved. Until then… LOL

StaySquared ,

They should be upgrading the grid as the population and demand for electricity increases ahead of time. This is how it works in the tech world. We set the base for the upgrade and then commit to the upgrade with fall back / disaster recovery plan.

StaySquared ,

And still proudly producing gas powered vehicles which I will continue to outfit my family with.

StaySquared ,

Not from all the profits made by all the people using electricity and paying for electricity? And electrical grid has redundancy. You can take down primary and secondary takes over temporarily.

StaySquared ,

It was common in the Midwest. And I just literally gave you the keywords to google search… there’s all the sources you need for the limited information I provided in my initial comment. Don’t like it? Kick rocks. You can’t re-invent reality.

StaySquared ,

Also… lmao you’re such a liar.

Google, “teslas stranded in quebec”

And lol @ the gullible people upvoting you.

StaySquared ,

That is true… apparently diesel is pretty bad in the winter as well.

StaySquared ,

I agree, if the resource is out… there’s nothing you can do but to go to another gas station. However, gasoline in winter weather, even if it’s -30 degrees Fahrenheit, is still usable. You’re still able to pump the fuel into your vehicle. Where as with these charging stations cold temperatures is a nemesis.

I have no beef with EVs, I just think we’re putting the cart before the horse. Like building a house with no foundation, it’s ludicrous.

StaySquared ,

Thanks. I find that quite fascinating, honestly. How is it that in the Americas, EVs - or at least Teslas and their charging stations were failing but in Norway apparently this is not an issue they face.

In the U.S. extreme heat and extreme cold is bad for the electrical grid. He have blackouts / brownouts and rolling blackouts during these extreme weather/temperature conditions.

StaySquared ,

Indeed!

StaySquared ,

Agreed.

Shhhh

Now go read the Talmud for an amazing adventure! <3

You’re saying wizard nerds who are fans of JKR… became violent toward trans people? Wat.

StaySquared ,

I wasn’t trying anything, I’m trying to understand what you’re claiming. It read as if you’re saying JK has inspired people to become violent toward trans people.

‘My whole library is wiped out’: what it means to own movies and TV in the age of streaming services (www.theguardian.com)

*What rights do you have to the digital movies, TV shows and music you buy online? That question was on the minds of Telstra TV Box Office customers this month after the company announced it would shut down the service in June. Customers were told that unless they moved over to another service, Fetch, they would no longer be...

Lindsey is part of the swamp. He’s a Christian Zionist, a doomsday Christian. These types of Christians want to hasten the Day of Judgement. Pretty much they’re psychopaths thanks to the Scofield Reference Bible.

StaySquared ,

Nope. Japan was pretty much done with the war before the U.S. decided to use them as lab rats to their nuclear bomb experiment. They were itching to use said technology with no regard to innocent lives.

StaySquared ,

www.osti.gov/opennet/…/surrender.htm

Prior to the atomic attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, elements existed within the Japanese government that were trying to find a way to end the war. In June and July 1945, Japan attempted to enlist the help of the Soviet Union to serve as an intermediary in negotiations. No direct communication occurred with the United States about peace talks, but American leaders knew of these maneuvers because the United States for a long time had been intercepting and decoding many internal Japanese diplomatic communications. From these intercepts, the United States learned that some within the Japanese government advocated outright surrender. A few diplomats overseas cabled home to urge just that.

StaySquared ,

I agree with you 100%. In my belief, it is God who wills when Judgement Day comes. It is not the will of a human. Christians and Zionists together think they can some how bypass the will of God.

StaySquared , (edited )

I wasn’t criticizing Jews exclusively. If I want to criticize a Jew or a group of Jews, I will. Idgaf quite frankly.

Judaism =/= Zionism. I’m criticizing the secular political ideology in which cherry picks from Judaism and incorporates it into it’s political ideology. Some of the things they cherry pick when it comes to human relations… is pretty fkin Nazi-like, who am I kidding… worst than Nazi’s treatment of their opposition. Reference the Talmud regarding gentiles.

Neturei Karta is the only Torah practicing Jews that I recognize as my brethren. Because they actually practice the teachings of the Torah. If you’re a “practicing Jew” in Israel… you’re doing it wrong. Not because I say so, because your Torah says so.

Americans are choking on surging fast-food prices. "I can't justify the expense," one customer says (www.cbsnews.com)

Kevin Roberts remembers when he could get a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink from Five Guys for $10. But that was years ago. When the Virginia high school teacher recently visited the fast-food chain, the food alone without a beverage cost double that amount....

StaySquared ,

Man… I remember back in 2009 a double quarter pounder with cheese, large meal, was something like $6.35 after taxes. Now it’s $11.07.

StaySquared ,

Or .29 hamburger and .39 cheese burger.

StaySquared ,

Well that’s stupid. Getting negative reviews is also a good thing. It allows you to re-evaluate your product(s). Pretty much you’re going to sell a half assed product, pretending it’s amazing because you refused to take critically-negative feedback from your paying customers. Guess they just want to completely obliterate their company.

StaySquared ,

That’s definitely not a solution. You just made the argument against it. The U.S. government is the primary reason why our economy is effed.

StaySquared ,

That’s a major issue about inflation - it’s really just an additional tax. In inflation, cost of living goes up, income/wages do not.

StaySquared ,

That’s the general rule of thumb that I learned as well… try to stay within 1/4th of salary for mortgage/rent.

StaySquared ,

Brah… the protest calls for 2 things.

  1. BDS
  2. End of genocide

Neither one is in support of terrorist groups and last I check the ones inciting violence, which is on video for all to witness, was pro-Zionist protestors who came with weapons and attacked the opposition.

StaySquared ,

Man I remember those days… when a 10 mile drive would sometimes be a 1 hour drive.

StaySquared ,

I believe another solution would be highways that are strictly for transporting of goods, rather than sharing roads with semitrucks.

Don’t many landlords… manage the home(s) they’re renting out? Like cutting the grass, doing maintenance work, investing into the property for upgrades etc… ?

I don’t see how the landlord is stealing from the renter.

Side note: I don’t support corporations buying up property and renting them out or converting them into AirBnBs.

Dood the automod is wild… people getting banned for, “suspicious activity”… and then there’s no way to ask the mods why the ban.
