Have had weird, severe stomach pain since 1pm yesterday without it dissipating (or getting worse, at least.)
It feels like I pulled every muscle on my right side and back, combined with this gnawing/burning feeling. My pain tolerance is pretty high but I'm going to the doctor in case it's gallstones or appendicitis. Yay.
Hope you have a better morning than I am.

@bookstodon What's your favorite book title, whether you've read it or not?

Mine is EVERYONE ON THE MOON IS ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL, by Julian K. Jarboe, which I have not yet read, followed closely by THEY DON'T MAKE PLUS SIZE SPACESUITS, by Ali Thompson, which I have read.

@kimlockhartga @bookstodon Already love this thread! 🖤
I always loved: ""Repent, Harlequin!" Said the Ticktockman", by Harlan Ellison, which I have read.
and
"My heart is a chainsaw", by Stephen Graham Jones, which I haven't read yet. (but surely will!)

@kimlockhartga @bookstodon both have a very unique way of storytelling, I think. Their creativity is astonishing! 🥰

Stole this image from someone who stole this image, and I'm stealing the question, too:

WHAT FILM MADE YOU GO 'WTF DID I JUST WATCH'?

Off the top of my head:

Mother! definitely. Also Society, The Outwaters, Final Prayer (aka The Borderlands), Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead), Skinamarink, The Human Centipede, Infinity Pool, Antichrist, Hausu, Secretary. And I love them all.

What about you?

@horror

@stina_marie @horror Definitely "Oldboy" (2003) and "Beau is afraid".

@bookstodon Is anyone hiding out and reading today? I've started the graphic novel version of The Stand, 'cause nothing says Baby Jesus like an out of control world. 😁 What are you reading, if anything, and did anyone give you books? Did they give you the kind of books you wanted?

My librarian told me that the best week to troll donations is the week after Christmas, when everyone donates gifted books they didn't want.

@kimlockhartga @bookstodon It's been a long tine since I've read "The Stand", the Graphic Novel looks fantastic. 🖤
I've started reading "The Stir-Fry Sniper" by Chang Kuo-Li, a Crime Thriller from Taiwan. So far it's very intriguing!

@bookstodon As we approach the end of 2023, I would love to know about the very best books you read this year. (They don't have to have been published in 2023 for your "best of" list.)

Stanzi ,
@Stanzi@horrorhub.club avatar

@kimlockhartga @bookstodon I really loved "The Pallbearer's Club" by Paul Tremblay and "System Collapse" by @marthawells 🥰
