Stole this image from someone who stole this image, and I'm stealing the question, too:

WHAT FILM MADE YOU GO 'WTF DID I JUST WATCH'?

Off the top of my head:

Mother! definitely. Also Society, The Outwaters, Final Prayer (aka The Borderlands), Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead), Skinamarink, The Human Centipede, Infinity Pool, Antichrist, Hausu, Secretary. And I love them all.

What about you?

@stina_marie @horror I recently watched "Malatesta's Carnival of Blood" and that's pretty odd. In tone and quality it's almost like a spiritual sequel to "Manos the Hands of Fate."

August 30th "Ghoulies" 1985
Spookiness:👻👻
When I was a kid and I saw this video box in the store, it creeped me out. Seeing the movie now, I think I must have been a pretty dumb kid. The monsters look and move like repurposed Boglins, and are more silly than scary. Silliness aside, the plot plays it pretty straight, and the monsters are clearly supposed to be scary. It is notable, however, for having the score compsed by Shirley Walker from "Batman the Animated Series."

August 21st "My Soul To Take" 2011
Spookiness:👻👻
I frankly expected a little better from Wes Craven than what this movie gave me. It's not really scary, but it is pretty funny, unintentionally. The killer talks way too much, and in a way that makes me think the voice was added later. Moments that are supposed to be tense, like the opening and a later fight with the killer, are just downright goofy. The killer stalks one victim while shouting "Fear ye the Ripper!" 😂
