This is like saying, “people need air to breathe.” The fact this is a revelation to gaming studios is deeply concerning.

I played some when it was in early access, and I’ve been absolutely loving BG3 now that it’s officially released. I haven’t felt like this about a game in a long time, and it’s probably because Larian studios treated this like Divinity Original Sin - a complete game with loving care. As I saw in another review, they didn’t make a D&D game, they just made D&D.

I composed a choral piece away from a piano at a coffee shop years ago. What I’m most proud of is that the voice leading works really well, and yet the chords are quite interesting. It also helps that I’m a professional musician, but I get a little thrill when I get to conduct or perform that piece.

I think it was an okay way to get a sense on fake news, but at the same time there have been more conspiracy theories peddled by media from all different political leanings over the past 5-10 years. Even a legitimately published headline can be deceiving.

I hear where you’re coming from, and at the same time I’m concerned about how much more data Google will be able to scrape as a result. Would Google have access to my filesystem? Would the OS log every keystroke to send to a data center? I know that privacy is mostly dead, but this to me feels like more nails in the coffin.
