Hello everybody, I’m using an Asus S56C with Lubuntu 22.04.4 and for work I use Photoshop CS6 and Vector Magic with Playonlinux. I was wandering - just for curiosity - if there are any good alternatives to Playonlinux to use these Windows programs. Thanks in advance!
@urska
I have an old Windows 2000 game that I plan to install on Wine and a 12 year old NVidia Graphic card. Half a year ago I strugle to get it run on #Lutris. I randomly activated and deactivated checkboxes, because nower was Manual with a proper description of the settings. I gave it up a some point. At least I resceived te Start screen without crash.
Are there any manuals how to choose settings for a game?
Hey y’all, I have a small collection of mostly 80s arcade game ROMs I like to play via MAME. They’re games like Robotron and Joust, nothing advanced....
@perishthethought You could very easily use #Lutris as a launcher for each game! Just set them up as you were launching a single game from the terminal. As far as a 3rd party GUI goes though, #RetroArch really is the most straight forward yer gonna find. Setting it up is not as huge an undertaking as it first appears. I'd be happy to help you get it configured if you need, just holler.
Alternative to Playonlinux

besides wine, what do you need to run non-steam games?
From my understanding, at least one other necessary component is dxvk, and that wine is not enough....
