The CEO is Russian. He formerly owned VK and sold it off to the Russian govt iirc.
He was forced out. This wasn’t a voluntary thing. At least from what I had read last about it.
Yeah unfortunately I flash my phone with new roms too often to make signal a daily driver. Every time I do so I lose all my prior chats. Haven’t used it in a few years though.
