so are we already doing the propaganda fluff pieces about how brave the Israelis are? Can we also get some about the bravery of the Palestinians in their resistance against apartheid?

Pretty sure Delta was just doing what it could to prevent the headline from being something like “Delta airlines leaves fifty employees for dead amid terrorist attacks in warzone”

from the article: “The carrier had at least 50 pilots and flight attendants in Israel when the country came under rocket attack by Hamas militants in Gaza.”

They were just evacuating their employees. This is literally the most boring topic to go to full foil hat over.

The word brave is even in quotes in the original headline because it’s a quote from the union!

It is propaganda

But it is still bravery to fly out of what is effectively an active war zone. hamas have missiles and MANPADS. israel have The Iron Curtain. There is a very high probability of civilian aircraft getting caught in the crossfire (and it has happened before).

The options were either to get wheels up ASAP and cross their fingers or stay locked down until the conflict ends or a neighboring country provides evacuations.

Unless your definition of propaganda is “everything is propaganda” this isn’t. It’s a direct report of events that happened, that’s all I was trying to point out. The article doesn’t even have an opinion on the bravery comment, it simply reports it as stated by the union, as a quote.

It’s iron dome. Iron curtain was from the Cold War.
