Good for them! Other places will find it economically feasible to resume mining. In the meantime, china still cannot produce CPUs

Agreed. All this does is increase support for de-risking any idea of investing in China.

Although there are benefits of globalization, there should still be independent manufacturing and mining wherever possible. If China is struck by a large meteor in the future, or blocks all trade due to politics, the rest of the world should be ready.
