Analysis: The Middle East may have backed off from the brink of a regional war – for now | CNN

For nearly a month, people in Lebanon and Israel braced for a wider war. A deadly rocket strike from Lebanon last month on the town of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights was followed by an Israeli retaliatory strike that killed Hezbollah’s top commander in southern Beirut.

No one wants to truly escalate, it’s been pretty clear the threat of a larger war is still unlikely.

Israel is surrounded by shill nations, they just want to do their genocide in peace, which means making it look like they actually need weapons if anyone calls into question what they’re doing.

Iran is the only major opponent, and even if they were geographically close enough to make war feasible, they know their military doesn’t have the power to make an offensive.

It’s been like that for decades. It’s the quintessential “saving face” bullshit. Every attack is just performative violence to show the own supporters/population that you are actually strong, proud and won’t ever let anybody push you around!

Absolutely pathetic.

Ignoring Israel won’t make them go away dawg…

Yesterday was clearly them trying to escalate their genocide of Gaza into a larger war.

America already has no aircraft carriers in the Pacific for the first time in a long time. Because we had to divert another to the ME to stop the countries Israel is attacking from attacking back on force
