This is like every GOP statement, just embodied in a singular comment by trump.
“Support our troops”… until they are veterans, then fuck them
“Support pro life”… until the fetus becomes an actual child, then fuck the kid and their mother
“Support small government”… until you want an authoritarian force to ensure you get what you want
“Support businesses”… but not small business, only corporate businesses that donate to keep you in power
“Support traditional families and Christian values”… but make sure to ignore the mountainous number of sex crimes and deplorable acts done by members of your party
“Drain the swamp!”… by gutting beneficial federal agencies and promoting corporate lawyers and pawns in positions of federal power to deregulate everything so the corporatocracy reigns
etc
They need the idiots to support what they tell them to and keep voting for them, while they do the opposite in their own interests.
