I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic but they dug the tunnels throughout Gaza City and then launched tens of thousands of rocket attacks from within them, culminating with the October 7 attack by Hamas soldiers, which was basically a bunch of wanton, orchestrated mass shootings of innocent families–from Israel and all over the world–while they attended concerts went out to dinner and stuff, killing, executing some point blank, 1,300 people, and then kidnapping another 250.
I’m can’t figure out, what did they think was going to happen, they were just going to retreat back into the tunnels and the tunnels would not be consider fair military targets? Did they think they were going to go back inside the tunnels and then wake up the next morning and go about like a regular day? I genuinely don’t even have a guess as to what they thought the end game was on October 7, other than the tunnels being completely destroyed.
Now the whole place is unstable and nothing works.
Edit: 1,300 not 1,200. Also moved a word to make it clear that some of the deceased were executed. The substantial majority were killed in hectic mass shootings, again, videos of which you may go and watch if you think it was excusable.
