I tend to share the same sentiment.

However, it occured to me the other day that golf courses might just save lives. Stay with me. Golf is a sport that caters primarily to the rich man, or the man who wants to be rich. Many of these men, evidenced by their prowess in business, share a lack of empathy in common, ranging from harmless but present, to full blown narcissism/sociopathy/psychopathy.

My question, then, is how many innocent women (especially sex workers) have been saved from said men having an outlet of hitting balls as hard as they can with a golf club, instead of said women’s faces with a golf club as hard as they can in the middle of nowhere shortly before having their bodies dumped in a pond?

I believe research needs to be done to find this figure, and compare the environmental harm to the murder figures. Then, we can determine if golf courses should stay or go.
