  1. IDF defector. Timing is suspect, but it would be if it was true anyway. Probably legit, fair to call it a warning
  2. Epstein’s driver, after Epstein’s death. Hardly a warning.
  3. Spiders in a Wii U, a hoax
  4. Cryptids, backroom, creepypasta, fiction

So 1 time that 4 Chan warned us, and even that was too late

glimse ,

Whenever phrasing implies that 4chan is anything other than an anonymous image board with no coherent userbase or purpose, I can’t help but think of that classic “Who is this 4 chan?” news clip.

The title should be changed to “4 times someone on 4chan happened to say something correct amidst the cacophony of pure bullshit that the site is known for”

4chan is a broken clock. Users there say so much stupid shit that they’re bound to be right once in a while.

This spider kind of looks like a brown recluse.

Loxosceles / brown recluses usually have a violin “drawing” on their back, hate light, and usually run to the corners. Based on that I don’t think that it’s a brown recluse.

4chan losing its shit about them is funny though. I often find a related spider where I live, Loxosceles gaucho (nowadays mostly dead - the winter is starving them). They avoid humans and other big animals, and like to build their nests in really small spaces, so it’s uncommon to be bitten by one. (That reminds me my childhood, throwing pill bugs in the nests that gaucho spiders built, on brick holes on a partially destroyed building from my home. It was fun to watch the spider trying to crack the bug open.)

Skinwalker

That reminds me chupacabra. The myth was rather popular for some time here in Latin America, specially in the late 90s and early 00s. It was about a semi-bipedal dog-like critter, with lizard-like skin, who’d hunt prey by sucking it dry of blood.
